Recommended Netanya Restaurants
Netanya’s restaurant scene is mostly dominated by the jewish french population who make up a large portion of Netanya’s population and tourists. Following is a list of restaurants in Netanya that I would recommend for that true local experience:
ChaChu is a traditional Tripoli restaurant who uses authentic kerosene burners for cooking for 30 years now. The restaurant has a small menu with exquisite authentic salads and main dishes. On Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays you will find couscous and “Mafroom” as well as the regular menu.
Location: Netanya Market, 10 Shoham st., Opening hours: Sun-Thu 7 AM – 8 PM, Fridays: 7 AM – 4 PM, Prices: Low (under 50 NIS), Kosher
A very good traditional Tripoli restaurant which is located on the first floor of an old residential building. The location is not very attractive, but the food is. Very. The place is very clean with a comfortable feeling. The menu is different every day, and serves very good traditional Tripoli food right from the pot it was cooked in.
Location: 5 Hayahalom st., Tel: 09-8611683, Opening hours: Sun-Thu 8 AM – 3 PM, Fridays: 8 AM – 2 PM, Prices: Low (under 50 NIS), Kosher
Jakko Seafood Restaurant
For those of you who want a good seafood meal in this mediterranian city, Jakko is the place to go. Although the Haifa Branch of this restaurant network is the best, I do find the Netanya branch to be worthy. Jakko serve Fresh fish and seafood as well as very good starters.
Location: 7 Giborey Israel st. – the new industrial section at poleg, Tel: 09-8652878, Opening hours: Sun-Sat 12 AM – 12 PM, Prices: Mid-High (60-120 NIS), NOT Kosher
The Green Valley
A very good Hummus place with large servings and a very special taste.
Location: 2 Shaar Haemek st., Opening hours: Sun- Fri: 10 AM – 2 PM, Prices: Low, Kosher
This traditional Russian restaurant hides at an unexpected location at the bottom level of a residential building at the heart of Netanya. The restaurant is crowded with Russian memorabilia, and tables of 10 await its visitors. On week nights you will enjoy live music played by an authentic Russian band, and for those who do not have Russian food background, it is promised to be an interesting experience.
Location: 1 Shaar Haemek st., Tel: 09- 8333397, Opening hours: Sun-Thu 12:30 PM – 4 PM and 7 PM – last customer, Fridays: 7 PM – last customer, Saturdays from 12:30 PM, Prices: Mid-High (60 -120 NIS per person), NOT Kosher
For those of you who insist on finding a decent restaurant on Netanya's city square or Herzl st., this is a very nice restaurant offering Israeli food. The menu includes grilled meats, hummus, french fries and nice soups.
Location: 1 Harav cook st. , Tel: 09-8341222, Opening Hours: Sun-Thu 11:30 AM– 11:30PM, Fridays: 11:30 AM – 4 PM, Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 11:30 PM, Prices: Low (under 50 NIS)
