Recommended Restaurants in The Golan Heights
The Golan Heights is very thinly populated, so that most of the restaurants’ diners are tourists coming from other parts of Israel. As you will see when visiting Ramat Hagolan, permanent residents of The Golan Heights are usually extremely nice and interesting people, and so is their food.
My recommended restaurants in The Golan Heights are:
Located in the lovely “Marom Golan” Kibbutz, this is a very special restaurant. It is designed like a ranch house, and serves very good meat and fish.
Prices: medium (60-120 NIS per person), Not Kosher, Tel: 04-6960206, reservations needed. Website: http://www.rest.co.il/sites/Default.asp?txtRestID=1734
Koffe einan is situated at the center of the “bartal” volcano crater, and has by far the best view in Israel. It is not accessible by wheelchair, but is very well worth the effort for those who do decide to make the short climb up.
Location: Bental mountain overview, Kosher, Dairy, No reservations needed, Tel: 04-6820664.
(Right outside the restaurant you will find the ruminants of the six day war in a very well organized site with free recorded vocal explanation.)
Ramot settlement has a very nice restaurant to offer meat in traditional roasting process.
Prices: medium (60-120 NIS per person), Not Kosher, Tel: 04- 6797097, reservations needed. Website: http://www.rest.co.il/sites/Default.asp?txtRestID=4838
