Recommended Eilat Restaurants
Eilat has many restaurants and street food spots in Eilat, offering a large variety of foods and tastes from around the globe. After years of experience with Eilat restaurants, here are what I see as the best places in Eilat, that is, restaurants that have never failed me:
Au Bistro – a little French restaurant with a traditional French menu all the way from creamed onion soup to fois gras. Prices are around 200 NIS per person, and food is not kosher.

Halev Harachav – for those who like shawarma and falafel, this is the best place in Eilat! It is situated in one of Eilat’s old residential neighbourhood, and offers fresh and tasty shawarma.

Mai Tai – a very nice thai restaurant with a traditional thai menu, including all sorts of noodles, soups and deserts. Average meal price is 120 NIS. Not Kosher.

Lotus – nice Chinese restaurant I always visit when in Eilat. All the items of a traditional Chinese menu, plus a view to the red sea. Prices are around 200 NIS per person, and food is not kosher.

Tandoori – the Eilat branch of Rina Pushkerana’s chain of Indian restaurants is the best one in my opinion. It serves high quality Indian food of all kinds (chicken tikka, tandoori chicken etc.). Average meal price is 200 NIS per person, and there is a lunch buffet for 59 NIS. The food is Kosher, but the place is open on Friday nights so you won’t see a “hechsher” (certificate). Please make sure to make a reservation.

Pancake House – for pancake lovers, this is the best place to eat pancakes in Israel. Prices are not high (40-50 NIS per person), and the pancakes are… pancakes…
