The Station - ''Hatachana'' complex
This happened in the Tel Aviv harbor a few years ago, is planned to happened in the Jaffa harbor within a year or so, and has just happened in the new complex called “Hatachana”.
"Hatachana” - Hebrew for the term “The station”, opened during 2010 and has quickly set itself as the leading leisure - restaurants – shopping complex in Tel Aviv. The complex is situated in between Tel Aviv and Jaffa, in what used to be the Tel Aviv railway station. The entire complex is a combination of a variety of carefully restored buildings. In order to keep the complex intact – the Tel Aviv municipality has set strict conservation rules that business owners must follow. The uncompromising conservation rules make this a very aesthetic place. The proximity to the beach makes the complex a very special place to visit – especially at sunset and at night.
The Shops – Are all concept and designer shops that offer a unique selection of items . There is a Jewelry shop by Michal Nagrin, a concept “AHAVA” shop and a few other designer shops.
The Restaurants – Are also varied: there is a kosher Jewish restaurant (Regina), The most fashionable bar in Tel Aviv today (Vikki Christina), an italian restaurant and a few coffee shops.
The Markets - the complex hosts two markets: The design market is held on Thursday evenings between 7PM and 12PM, and the organic ecologic market is held every Friday morning between 8 AM and 3 PM.
