The Negev Desert
The Negev is the desert region of southern Israel. The origin of the word Negev is from the Hebrew root denoting 'dry'.while the Negev is a real desert by all means - this is one of the most beautiful places in Israel.
The Negev is basically a large desert, The Negev covers over some 13,000 km² (4,700 sq mi) or 55% of Israel.
The Negev can be split into five different ecological regions: Northern, Western and Central Negev, the High Plateau and the Arava Valley.
The Negev desert has something for everybody, and you can travel it by foot, car, safari, camels - it's your call, good-time is guaranteed!
